• Faithful to my Homeland, the Republic of Poland

  • 13 March 2018

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence and commemorate 250 years of Polish-British diplomatic relations, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London presents Polska Półka – Polish Bookshelf Project.

The initiative aims to spread knowledge about Poland by enriching local public libraries around the UK with Polish literature and books about Poland. It features a series of cultural events with authors and experts on Polish culture at the libraries receiving the book gifts as well as a series of interviews with British intellectuals, which you can find on the sidebar.

The project is a result of a collaboration between the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London, the Polish Cultural Institute and the Polish Book Institute with support from the Polish Educational Centre Literka, the European's Welfare Association and the Polish Educational Society.
