Born in Manchester to Polish wartime immigrants, the lawyer turned journalist Ren Behan née Marczak first turned to writing about food online with her blog in 2007. Since then, she has contributed to various websites, including Great British Chefs,, UKTV Food and HuffPost Food. Her book Wild Honey & Rye: Modern Polish Recipes has been nominated in the Best Eastern European Cookery Book category of the 2018 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. She is also a member of The Guild of Food Writers. Ren often writes about her travel explorations, and shares family-friendly food recipes and her new culinary adventures.
